Session at Calshot Activity Centre 23/04/2011

Had a great morning yesterday taking 2 clients to Calshot Activity Centre teaching a Introdutory Lead Climbing Session, next time I will remember to take Spare Harness and Shoes! Hire Cost was almost £6.00! :-( But on the bright side everybody enjoyed the course and will hopefully follow the training plan I created. :-)

Disability Climbing Session at Southampton Climbing Wall

Had a great day at Southampton Climbing Wall today- http://www.southamptonclimbingwall.co.uk/ working alongside one of their instructors taking an Action for the Blind youth group with a range of partially sighted and Blind 6 - 15yrs Childern and Young Adults, Bottom Roping with the clients Bell Ringing  Belaying each other in groups of 3 or 4.  Everyone enjoyed themselves and I am looking forward to more sessions in the future.

Sessions Outline and Price Lists 2011

Bouldering - Climbing no more that 2 metres in height without a rope and traversing (climbing sideways) along a bouldering wall, to practise skills and technique.

1 ½ hours Session 1:6 Clients Max

£20.00 1:1, £35.00 1:3, £65.00 1:6 Session

Bottom Roped Climbing – Climbing whereby both the climber and belayer (person holding the rope) start at the bottom of the route (coloured holds on the climbing wall) and the rope is attached to a top anchor so the climber can be lowered down at all times.

1 ½ and 3 hour Sessions 1:6 Clients Max

£30.00 1:1, £45.00 1:3, £85.00 1:6 Session

Technique Clinics – Focusing on developing climbers at any level on skills and techniques to improve their climbing, continuing professional development.  Incorporating ‘Rock Fit’ style workouts.

 1 ½ Hour Session 1:6 Clients Max

£25.00 1:1, £45.00 1:3, £75.00 1:6 Session

Climbing Yoga – Will focus on incorporating yoga stretches into client's personal climbing sessions, guidance on warming up properly in a new and enjoyable way that enables clients to get a set routine that is climbing specific, run in conjunction with Annie Anderson at http://www.yogaclimbing.com/. 

 1 ½ hour Session 1:6 Clients Max

£25.00 1:1, £35.00 1:3, £70.00 1:6 Session

Introductory Lead Climbing – Climber has a bottom rope attached to himself as a safety line then the climber attaches a lead climbing rope trailing down below himself and practices clipping into protection (Clip Draws/Extenders) as he progresses up the wall in complete safety.  Top Tips and Tricks for smoother transition from Bottom Roping to Leading.

2 hour Session 1:3 Clients Max

£50.00 1:3 Session

Private Instruction - 1:1 or 1:3 Sessions tailored to suit your particular needs, and goals.  Refresh belaying on a Bottom rope or essential knots and introduction to auto-locking belay devices, or just an experienced belayer to push your grade.

1 ½ hour Sessions 1:6 Clients Max

£35.00 1:1, £60.00 1:3 Session

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 19:00 - 22:00

Thursday, Friday: 10:00 - 22:00

Saturday, Sunday: 10:00 - 22:00

All prices are per person booking onto a session, email for further details on group bookings (Disability, Birthday Parties, Corporate Events and Youth Groups) All sessions include Entry to the Climbing Venues, Tuition and Equipment (Belay Devices, Harnesses and Ropes), Additional equipment can be hired/bought at most of the climbing venues if needed e.g. Climbing Shoes/Chalk or XXL Harnesses.  You can use your own equipment if applicable.
