Using existing man made climbing walls in either dedicated outdoor centres, sport halls or wooden towers. I will run all aspects of climbing indoors as my existing skills and qualifications develop. I will cover everything inbetween introductory indoor rock climbing sessions through basic instruction taster sessions to advanced 1:1 masterclasses. Also I want to introduce climbing yoga classes to develop an understanding of the benifits of warming up properly before engaging in physical activity.
Bouldering - climbing no more that 2 metres in hight without a rope and traversing (climbing sideways) along a bouldering wall, to pracise skills and technique.
Bottom Roped Climbing - climbing whereby both the climber and belayer (person holding the rope) start at the bottom of the route (coloured holds on the climbing wall) and the rope is attached to a top anchor so the climber can be lowered down at all times.
Introductory Lead Climbing - Climber has a bottom rope attached to himself as a safety line then the climber attaches a lead climbing rope trailing down below himself and practices clipping into protection (Clip Draws/Extenders) as he progresses up the wall in complete safety.
Indoor Self Rescue - For climbers who have completed all of the above courses and are competent and learn techniques to solve common problems that can happen when climbing in a pair. The emphasis being on prevention rather than cure.
Masterclasses - Focusing on developing climbers at any level on skills and techniques to improve their climbing, continuing professional development.
Climbing Yoga - Will focus on incorporating yoga stretches into client's personal climbing sessions, guidance on warming up properly in a new and enjoyable way that enables clients to get a set routine that is not just 'lazy warm up' before climbing.
